LIFE GROUP MINISTRY
The goal for every member of the Gate is that they are connected into a Life Group, whether that is an Internal Life Group (ILG) or an External Life Group (ELG).
An ILG is a group of families that are cared for by a lay pastor. The lay pastor communicates and prays with, cares for and provides for those in his/her group making sure that no one is disconnected from the fellowship. Those in these groups may not be able to attend a home group, but are still connected relationally. The lay pastor may have gatherings from time to time in order to connect these family in an accountable way.
An ELG is a home group that meets in a community somewhere in the Victor Valley region. All of the same things that happen in the ILG also happen in the ELG. The only difference is that there is a regularly scheduled gathering in the home that includes a series of teaching or discussions in coordination with the ongoing message of the Gate.
